Gretchen and I overslept today. Dolly was exceptionally anxious to get out of her crate to potty. It was noon and she is usually out by seven AM. So I pulled her out quick and Gretchen started helping me prep her. As soon as Dolly saw that we were both working on her and doing it quickly her anxiety level dropped. it was like AH-H-H, I know I can make it now. Even though we were very late she still absoulutely refused to potty in her crate.
We continue to learn things about her. Gretchen and I were talking about how she adapts to being handled by different people. There is one behavior she is doing for both of us. If anything goes wrong Dolly will drop to the ground and freeze. By wrong I mean when one of us slips on the ice or trips on something. Gretchen has fallen a couple of times. She was not hurt but I do wish this ice and snow would go away. That is not to be. We have a major winter storm heading our way. One forecast had 12 inches of snow for Jefferson City MO but they have since dropped it back to six. We will get an inch of ice instead. I'll take the snow please.
